Episode I Encounter 2: The Hangover

After defeating the hobgoblins inside the tavern, the party deals with city guards, and realizing  the city is still under attack decide to stick around and help out. The city guards leave to "find reinforcements" while the party discusses some tactics.

 They hear distant screams...which seem to be getting closer.

At Elix's suggestion Phineas tries to climb to a rooftop for an advantageous position, however he falls and hurts himself.

Suddenly a group of townspeople come running around the corner, screaming.

A giant ogre, yoked to a wagon lumbers around the corner, carrrying a flaming cask of pitch and swing his greatclub wildly with rage. Perched atop the wagon behind him are two hobgoblin bowmen.

The ogre hurls the flaming cask against the door of a shop right next to Phineas, who miraculously is unhurt when it explodes in flames.

Phineas responds by firing a bolt from his crossbow deep into the ogres chest, causing him to wince in pain. (Critical Hit)

Rilien casts pillar of fire, and fails...it fizzles out in a puff of smoke.

Buljin calls out to his deity, attempting to burn the ogre with divind light, but still epically drunk slurs his speech and nothing happens.....

Elix throws a dagger at the ogre, but the cheaply made dagger falls apart in mid air, falling harmlessly to the ground.

One hobgoblin bowman hands another flaming cask to the ogre.

The other fires an arrow at Buljin, it deflects off of his plate armor.

Phineas fires another crossbow bolt at the ogre, it bounces harmlessly off of its thick hide armor.

Rilien calls down an explosion of fire on the hobgoblin bowman, dazing the other hobgoblin and causing most of the casks in the wagon to explode. The ogre and both hobgoblins are miraculously unharmed.

Elix flips over the ogres shoulder stabbing him as he flies over, he swings wildly at the hobgoblins behind him, misssing them both.

One hobgoblin sits dazed in the flaming wagon. The other hobgoblin flees the wagon running north down the street.

The Ogre, now unyoked from the wagon charges forward and smashes Buljin with his great club, bloodying Buljin quite badly.

Phineas bravely charges the giant ogre and stabs him in the leg with his dagger.

Rilien casts orb of force at the ogre, who shrugs it off as if it were nothing.

Buljin smites the ogre, leaving a glowing mark of Olladra on its chest.

Elix wildly attacks the ogre, missing completely.

The bowman who fled down the road stops, turns and fires an arrow deep into Elixs shoulder.

The second hobgoblin, still dazed jumps out of the flaming wagon.

The ogre attempts to bullrush Buljin and push him out of the way, the angry dwarf stands his ground, forcing the ogre to try and squeeze around him.

Phineas stabs the ogre in the leg again.

Buljin again tries to call down the fury of his diety, still drunk however he again fumbles the words of his prayer.

Elix attacks the dazed hobgoblin, missing. Again.

The fleeing hobgoblin shoots another arrow into Elixs other shoulder.

The dazed hobgoblin, no longer dazed, draws his longsword and stabs Elix.

The ogre notices Rilien, charging him and bashing him to the ground with his club.

Phineas tries to sneak up behind the raging ogre, but kicks a tin can, then misses another attempt to stab the ogre with his dagger.

Rilien sends Kevin (his dragonling minion) to breath fire on the ogre while teleporting away to a more safe position.

Kevin defeats the ogre with his flame breath!!!! GO KEVIIN!

Buljin charges the hobgoblin wielding the longsword...smashing its head like a watermelon with is war maul.
